Option 1: Private Cooking Class in Laplapan Village – Goa Gajah & Monkey Forest
Early in the morning you will be expected for a private Balinese cooking class.
First, you will visit the local market to buy the fresh ingredients.
On the surrounding fields and plantations of the village of Laplapan you will also go on an exploration tour to collect fresh ingredients.
You will learn the traditional craft of making coconut oil, which is essential for Balinese cuisine.
Everything is traditionally handmade. Under professional guidance, you will then learn the magic of Indonesian/Balinese cuisine.
Learn all about the most exotic ingredients, spices and preparation of culinary delights.
Otherwise, you will have time to immerse yourself in the daily life of the local village community, learn how to press coconut oil, cultivate the fields, harvest, etc.
After your private food tour, you’ll tour the Goa Gajah Elephant Cave, an 11th-century Hindu meditation center, with your guide.
To top off the day, visit the sacred monkeys in the Sacred Monkey Forest.
It is a beautiful natural rainforest with ancient Hindu shrines and home to gray long-tailed macaques. You can feed them by hand because they are not wild, just naughty.
Please take special care of your valuables there, as the little monkeys are not only funny and cute, but also like to grab souvenirs from their visitors.
Option 2.: Privater Mount Batur – Sunrise Trek – Goa Gajah & Monkey Forest
This morning we first go to the foot of Mount Batur in the tropical rainforest. From here, your ascent to the 1,717-meter-high summit begins.
Your guide will help you overcome difficult passages.
Once at the top, you will soon be rewarded for your efforts. Shortly after 5:00 a.m., you will experience an unforgettable sunrise.
Enjoy this magical moment above the picturesque Lake Batur and the dark silhouette of the mighty Mount Agung (3,142 m).
If visibility is good, you can see the top of Mount Rinjani (3,726 m) on Lombok sticking out of an orange-colored stripe on the horizon.
Your breakfast will be served to you during your one-hour rest on the summit.
After this refreshment, you will explore three younger craters in Mount Batur, which continuously allow fresh lava to flow, before returning to the car through the seemingly unreal volcanic landscapes.
