Welcome to the island of the gods – Bali.

Upon arrival at Denpasar International Airport, your personal guide and driver will meet you and drive you north to Pemuteran.

On the way you will visit one of the most beautiful sea temples in the world (depending on your arrival time in Bali). The sacred Tanah Lot Temple, built on a sea rock, is located in the middle of the ocean and can be reached on foot at low tide. The legend has persisted for many centuries that this magical temple was protected by huge sea serpents against evil forces and conquerors.

In the afternoon you will reach Pemuteran, where you can relax by the pool of your villa or explore the surrounding area on your own.

After breakfast we go to Deer Island, Menjangan Island in the marine nature reserve of Bali Barat National Park.

Experience a spectacular above and underwater world. The island is surrounded by kilometers of coral reefs, where you can explore an incredible variety of tropical fish and corals in all colors of the rainbow. The special nature protection enables regular visits by the beautiful loggerhead turtles, who are threatened with extinction. Many marine and even deep-sea birds appreciate the rich food supply.

The namesakes of the island provide another highlight. Visitors will regularly witness the deer having fun on the beach and treating themselves to a long cooling-off swim in the shallow waves in the sea. A unique sight on the beach of a tropical island. Lunch included.

After breakfast, check out and take the ferry to Java in Baluran National Park, accompanied by your guide and private chauffeur and a professional park ranger.

The colorful peacocks and wild chickens that live there offer fantastic photo opportunities. Playful macaques and flying squirrels in the treetops, Javanese wild oxen, deer and langurs are numerous in the evergreen rainforest.

From the Bekol observation tower you have a perfect panoramic view and can observe the wildlife undisturbed. Then you will have enough time to explore the beautiful natural beach of Bama Beach with its extensive mangrove forests before heading to your hotel near the Ijen Plateau. Including lunch.

Accommodation: Ijen Resort, Deluxe, Banyuwangi, breakfast included

We get up at 4:00 a.m. to set off towards Paltuding at around 5:30 a.m. Once there, the approximately 2-hour climb begins on foot to the crater of the Ijen Plateau. Recommendation! Leave as early as 1:00 a.m. to experience the natural wonder of the Blue Fire.

After the climb there is a steep descent of around 700 meters into the crater of Mt. Ijen. Once there, you will experience something unique in the world: witnessing the blue fire of the lava flows in the absolute darkness of the night (a very smaller version can only be experienced in Iceland). The strenuous climb is rewarded. Once at the summit, you will experience a fantastic, magical view over the greenish blue lake of the Ijen Crater at sunrise, the most poisonous lake in the world.

On the way you will meet the numerous workers who mine the sulfur and transport it to the valley in their baskets, which can weigh up to 100 kilograms. When they arrive in the valley, they don’t miss the opportunity to stop by the weighing station to see how hard the brave miners have to work.

Before you head back to the beach, fortify yourself with a cup of fresh coffee, fruit and local snacks in a typical Javanese waroeng at the entrance to the national park. Afterwards you will return to your resort. Including lunch. (Blue Fire tour adults only please, the descent is too dangerous for children).

From the harbor it takes 30 to 60 minutes, depending on the waves, back to Bali to your dream pool villa in the cultural center of Bali – Ubud.

Accommodation: The Kayon Jungle Resort, Jungle Pool Villa, breakfast included

Today we await you for an exciting tour of some of the most impressive and valuable highlights that Bali has to offer.

You will visit the holy temple Tirta Empul with its numerous swimming pools, which has been used for spiritual healing ceremonies for around a thousand years. Don’t miss out on taking part in a spiritual cleansing ritual yourself.

Afterwards, with a traditional sari tied around your waist, you go to the mystical Ulun Danu Temple located on the picturesque Beratan Lake. One of the most beautiful natural photo backdrops for weddings and romantic couples in all of Bali. This sacred place is home to the Balinese deity Devi Danu. Balinese people bring her daily offerings and pray at the edge of Lake Beratan.

On the way back to your resort you will admire the largest temple complex in Bali – the Besakih Temple. In Kintamani you will experience the impressive landscapes of the majestic Mt. Batur and the lake of the same name.

After your check-out at the hotel, your private chauffeur will be waiting for you to drive you to the airport in Denpasar for your domestic flight with Garuda to Labuan Bajo/Flores.

After your arrival, you will be driven to the port in an air-conditioned private car, check in on your Phinisi boat with a private captain, cook and guide and drive for around 2.5 hours through the unique island world of the Komodo National Park to the island of Rinca. Your lunch will be served on board – dream panorama included.

Rinca is one of the few inhabited islands in Komodo National Park and is home to many wild animals, such as wild buffalo, deer, wild boar, primates, numerous species of birds, and of course the famous Komodo dragons – the last dragons on earth. The local park ranger awaits you on land to accompany you safely through the world of dragons. During your hike, discover the unique flora and fauna of this strictly protected nature reserve.

From Rinca you sail on to the small island of Kalong. A true natural paradise with untouched nature, surrounded by huge mangrove forests. Enjoy a unique natural spectacle in the late afternoon when thousands of flying foxes search for food and darken the sky. Before you retire for the evening, fresh culinary delicacies await you on board for dinner.

Accommodation: Phinisi Boat (“Ayla”) with private, air-conditioned cabin, including full meals on board

After breakfast on board, you will travel to the main island of Komodo and be met at Loh Liang Station by your private park ranger.

In about an hour you hike to Banugulung, a former feeding place for the Komodo dragons, to which they still like to return. (Note: Komodo dragons are strictly protected and find enough natural food on the island and therefore need/should not be specially attracted for tourists). On the way to Banugulung you will not only discover the giant lizards but many other wild animals. Every now and then, look up into the treetops, because that’s where the baby monitor lizards hide from their cannibalistic counterparts.

Then you go back on board, where your freshly prepared lunch is waiting for you. During this time you will drive to the famous “Pink Beach”. Enjoy sunbathing on one of Indonesia’s most beautiful beaches and immerse yourself in a fantastic underwater world with an incredibly high variety of colorful fish and corals.

Accommodation: Phinisi Boat (“Ayla”) with private, air-conditioned cabin, including full meals on board

Before you head back to Labuan Bajo today, you will make a stop at the famous Manta Point (weather permitting). There is a very good chance (depending on the weather and the animals’ mood) of seeing small to huge manta rays.

Afterwards, visit Sebayur and the surrounding islands to enjoy some time for sunbathing and snorkeling. In the evening, enjoy a fantastic sunset with a view over the Indian Ocean and the small neighboring islands from the pool of your hotel.

Today you say goodbye to Komodo and fly back to Bali. On the way you will visit the “Batu Cermin Cave”. Translated, these mean “mirror stones” and come from the fact that when the sunlight hits them at a certain level, the limestones create a spectacular visual effect by reflecting the sunlight.

You will then head to the airport for your flight to Bali, where you will spend your last 2 nights before your departure.

Accommodation: Legian Beach Resort, Deluxe Pool Villa, breakfast included

Your Legian Beach resort is located so that it is up to you whether you want to immerse yourself in the hustle and bustle of Kuta with its bars, restaurants, souvenir stands and nightlife activities within walking distance, or enjoy absolute peace and quiet in your resort complex.

Kawah Ijen – The spectacular volcano highlight

Kawah Ijen is an active volcano on the Indonesian island of Java, known for its unique acid lake and breathtaking landscapes. This volcano is one of the most impressive natural wonders of the region and attracts numerous tourists every year who want to take on the challenge of hiking to the crater. One of the special characteristics of Kawah Ijen is the turquoise blue acid lake, which is fed by sulfuric acid and thus has an extreme pH rating that is not only appealing but also dangerous.

The hike to the crater requires a certain level of fitness and preparation. Visitors should be prepared to start in the dark to experience the impressive spectacle of the blue flames. These are caused by the escape of sulphur gases, which are ignited when they come into contact with the air. The shimmering blue flames are a spectacular sight, especially in the early morning hours, and offer photographers a unique opportunity to capture fascinating images.

The landscape around the volcano is equally breathtaking. Here you will find impressive views of the surrounding mountain slopes and the green vegetation, which stands in stark contrast to the yellow and blue tones of the crater lake. This diversity in the landscape adds to the unique beauty of Kawah Ijen, making it a popular destination for nature lovers and adventure seekers.

To visit Kawah Ijen, it is recommended to choose the drier season between May and October to ensure optimal conditions for the hike. Safety should always come first; suitable equipment, respirators to protect against sulphur fumes and sufficient water are essential. Sulphur mining in the region also plays an important role in the local economy and is another aspect that underlines the importance of this unique place.

Encounter with the Komodo Dragons

The Komodo dragons, the largest lizards in the world, are an impressive symbol of the unique biodiversity in Komodo National Park. These majestic animals, which can grow up to three meters long and weigh up to 70 kilograms, are fascinating predators. They have adapted perfectly to their environment. Their habitat spreads over the volcanic islands of Flores, Gili Motang, Komodo and Rinca. They live in dry, semi-arid and hilly landscapes. The combination of stony coasts, open grasslands and dense forests offers the dragons space to hunt and hide.

The best way to see the Komodo dragons is to visit Rinca and Komodo Islands, where guided tours are available. These tours allow visitors to get up close and personal with the dragons’ habitat. Trained rangers ensure the safety of both animals and people. The dragons are known for their unusually slow movement, which only makes them recognizable as dangerous hunters at second glance. Watching their hunting tactics and eating their prey in unique scenes is an unmistakable experience.

Komodo kites are important to the ecosystem. As Apex predators, they play a crucial role by regulating the populations of other animals. That ultimately maintains the balance of the entire ecosystem. Nevertheless, the Komodo dragons are classified as an endangered species due to habitat loss, poaching and climate change. That is why protective measures are of the utmost importance. Various initiatives are committed to the conservation of this unique species, including programs to monitor their populations and educate the local population about the importance of these animals in the ecosystem.
