Upon arrival in Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA) you will be met and transferred to the hotel.

Journey to the city where your hotel is located is approx. 1 hour depending on the traffic situation. Check-in to the hotel with rest of the day at leisure.

Breakfast at the hotel and proceed for introductory tour of the city known for its beauty & charm, of modern sophistication to old world charm, the seamless blending of its colonial and oriental landmarks.
Tour takes you to the confluence of the Klang & Gombak Rivers, the site of KL’s humble beginning.
Move on to view the splendour of the King’s Palace followed by the National Monument at the Lake Gardens, a sprawling 91.6 hectares of immaculate lawns, undulating hills and carefully cultivated gardens, a scene of harmony, beauty & tranquillity both natural and man-made.

Proceed to the beautiful National Mosque. Drive past the Railway Station and make a stop at Independence Square before tour resumes on a mesmerizing drive around Chinatown.

The tour concludes with a photo stop at the centre-piece of KL, the magnificent Petronas Twin Towers.

After the tour, return to your hotel and at leisure

Breakfast will be taken at the hotel. 0900hrs – Set off on a tour of Malacca which has a history spanning over 580 years and the oldest trading port in Malaysia that has undergone Portuguese, Dutch and English rule.

Historical Malacca is the third smallest state in Malaysia and one of the
oldest, and most strategic, trading ports in Malaysia which has undergone Portuguese, Dutch and English rule.

Visit St. Paul’s Hill for a panoramic view of Malacca and its straits as well as the old town of Bandar Hilir. View the famous gateway, the well-known Portuguese Fort de Santiago and the ruins of St. Paul’s Church lined by 17th century Dutch tombstones.

Malacca is most well-known for its food. Most notable of all is the Nyonya-Baba cuisine which is a mixture of Chinese and Malay cooking with most dishes which are spicy in nature. Break up for lunch at Peranakan Restaurant to
sample the blend of Chinese & Malay culture with European influence in the cuisine of the Babas & Nyonyas’ of Malacca.
Tour resumes after lunch at the Baba/Nyonya Heritage Museum which gives you a glimpse of the glorious past of the rich Baba/Nyonya or Peranakan lifestyle, showcasing impressive Chinese art paintings & antique furniture.
After the tour, depart to Kuala Lumpur.

0900hrs – Depart from your hotel lobby to Cameron Highlands heading northwest into the state of Perak.

En route to the limestone hills of Batu Caves, an outcrop that houses a Hindu Temple. One will need to climb 272 steps to reach the top & into the Temple. Batu Cave is a famous pilgrimage place for the Hindus during the “Thaipusam” festival (usually held either in January or February each year based on the Hindu religion’s calendar).
After the visit, enjoy the journey on to Cameron Highlands, one of the most extensive hill stations consisting of a series of villages strung along the main roads.

Situated approx. 1800 meters above sea level, this highland destination has managed to maintain its English character with its rolling green hills dotted with country cottages, farms and golf course. Transfer to hotel and check in.

A full day tour of Cameron Highlands today introduces you to the many attractions this highlands has to offer.

In the morning you drive up to the highest point – Mount Brinchang (2000m). A climb up the viewing tower gives you a panoramic view of the area and a chance to breathe in the crisp mountain air.

Taking a short walk into the mossy forest will introduce you to a huge variety of
pitcher plants of different shapes and sizes, beautiful wild orchids and herbal plants such as the famous Kacip Fatimah.

The area is also well known for tea plantations and you’ll visit the renowned
“BOH” Tea Factory to learn how our national drink goes from plant to table.

Your day will be finished off by visiting a local farm growing exotic cactus, strawberries, flowers and watercress.

After breakfast, set off early for a 4-hour journey to Pulau Banding, a man-made island located within the majestic Temenggor Lake in the state of Terengganu where the 130 million-year old pristine Belum Rainforest lies, home to a vast number of species of unique animals and plants with potential for the discovery of more biological treasures.
En route, stop at the Royal Town of Kuala Kangsar where you pass by Ubudiah Mosque, the Iskandariah Palace & the Istana Kenangan Museum, a unique wooden building built without any plans or nails. It now houses the Royal Regalia, photographs of the Royal Family, illustrations and artefacts of the past and present monarchy of Perak state of Peninsular Malaysia.
Upon arrival check in at the Belum Rainforest Resort and the rest of your time at your own leisure.

0900hrs – After breakfast, stroll down to the resort jetty to take a boat ride on Lake Temenggor, alighting after an hour for a 15-mins trek for spotting Rafflesia, the buds of which are tiny brown balls emerging from vines which snake through the forest floor.

If you are lucky to spot one in bloom, it weighs 6-8kg & measures 90cm across – the biggest flower found in the tropical rainforest of Asia.

Return to the boat to set off on a 45-min ride to Kejar Hilir to commune with the Orang Asli in their settlement, to see the native way of life & perhaps purchase some of their handmade artefact of bamboo & pandanus leaves or honey to help supplement their daily income.

After 20 mins with the Orang Asli, set off for Jenut Papan to explore the Salt lick where elephants usually come for their mineral intake.

After leaving the Salt Lick & upon arrival at Sg Kejar, trek for 15 mins to Sg Ruok Waterfalls for a picnic lunch and fun time at the waterfalls until 1500pm when it is time to trek back to the boat for the return journey to the resort.

Leave Belum Valley and drive to Terengganu via Kota Bharu.

The east coast is distinguished by its very old-fashioned charm from the remaining states in the peninsular.
