This morning we first go to the foot of Mount Batur in the tropical rainforest. From here, your ascent to the 1,717-meter-high summit begins.

Your guide will help you overcome difficult passages.

Once at the top, you will soon be rewarded for your efforts.

Shortly after 5:00 a.m., you will experience an unforgettable sunrise.

Enjoy this magical moment above the picturesque Lake Batur and the dark silhouette of the mighty Mount Agung (3,142 m).

If visibility is good, you can see the top of Mount Rinjani (3,726 m) on Lombok sticking out of an orange-colored stripe on the horizon.

Your breakfast will be served to you during your one-hour rest on the summit. The preparation is already a highlight in itself. Your breakfast egg, tea and coffee are heated in volcanic fumes.

Early in the morning you will be expected for a Balinese cooking class.

First, you will visit the local market to buy the fresh ingredients.

On the surrounding fields and plantations of the village of Laplapan you will also go on an exploration tour to collect fresh ingredients.

You will learn the traditional craft of making coconut oil, which is essential for Balinese cuisine.

Everything is traditionally handmade. Under professional guidance, you will then learn the magic of Indonesian/Balinese cuisine.

Today you will visit Rambitan/Sade, a traditional Sasak village located on the hill, 8 km from Lombok Kuta Beach.

This village will show you the unique way of life of the “Sasaks”, the indigenous people of Lombok.

Afterwards you will explore the most beautiful beaches of Lombok.

First: Kuta Beach / Tanjung Aan, both located on the south coast of Lombok, only 5 kilometers apart.

These white sand beaches with clear turquoise waters are perfect for swimming and sunbathing.

After that, experience the stunning beaches in the southern part of the island in turn with a fantastic beach tour, visit Selong, Belanak, Mawun Lagoon which is located west of Kuta, the most picturesque and pristine white-golden beaches with amazing views of rocky hills and the Indian Ocean.

In the afternoon you will have some variety to enjoy a wonderful panorama from the top of the hill of Marese.

Today you will be driven to SENARU (601 m) at 05.00 am (approx. 2 hours), then we will serve you a quick light breakfast.

After registering at the Park Ranger office, we set off at 08.30 a.m.

The first few hours of the trek climb steadily through dense tropical forests rich in flora, birdlife, and variety of butterflies.

You may see orchid, the long-tailed gray macaque monkey Kera, and, if you’re lucky, the rare black ebony leaf monkey known locally as Lutung.

Rusa or deer are forest dwellers that are occasionally seen along the trekking trail. The smaller barking deer or kijang has an alarm call with a specific dog – like barking.

Rest areas will be visited along the way, and at Pos 2 Montong Satas Shelter (1,500 m), where village stories and local legends will be told by your guide.

Depending on your preference and weather conditions, you will either set up camp in the forest at post 3 Mondokan Lolak (2000 m) after about five hours of ascent from Senaru, or you will continue the ascent for a few hours through grassy meadows to the Plawangan 1 Senaru crater rim at 2641 m. from the crater rim you can look over the Segara Anak Lake (2000 m) to the summit of Mt. Rinjani.

Within the crater lies Mt. Baru (2,351 m). On a clear evening, the Gili Islands, Bali and Mt.Agung can be seen in the west.

The sunrise at the crater rim is a memorable start to Day 2, enjoyed after a two-hour pre-sunrise climb for those camping at Pos 3 Mondokan Lolak.

After enjoying the views, descend the trail to the village of Senaru through the first grasslands and then back into the shade of the tropical forest.

After about seven hours from the rim, the trek ends at the Rinjani Trek Centre in Senaru. Afterwards you will return to your hotel in Senggigi.

Today you will say goodbye to Bali’s sister island and fly back to the island of the gods – Bali.
